I think creating a digital e-portfolio is great. I can record and review my learning outcomes and learning process on the website. It is convenient for me to reflect on what I have learned before. During the creation process, I learned how to use WIX to build my own e-portfolio, including working with website building platforms, layout design, and media integration. This helped me improve my media literacy and enhance my technological and information design skills. WIX allows the integration of text, images, videos, and audio files, enabling me to present content creatively. I can showcase my e-portfolio in multiple formats. I can also present my learning outcomes and process to teachers, classmates, and even future employers, which helps enhance my confidence. The website can also serve as a supplementary credential when applying for jobs or competitions in the future. Lastly, I think the comment function on WIX is also great. It allows me to interact with other classmates, receive suggestions, and gain encouragement through comments.

Creating the e-portfolio made me realize that it's really important to have a space to record my learning process. It not only helps me reflect and review what I’ve learned, but also improves my learning efficiency. By organizing my work and tracking my progress, I can clearly see how I’ve grown. It also encourages me to keep learning and improving.

In my future teaching, I plan to incorporate e-portfolios because they allow me to track students' learning progress and provide insights into their development. I can observe how students improve and identify the areas they struggle with. Based on these observations, I can adjust my teaching strategies to better meet their needs. Students can use creative and organized ways to present their work. Having a platform to showcase their achievements can enhance their motivation and confidence. They can also share their learning outcomes with classmates, which encourages peer support and constructive feedback. The process of building a website also helps students develop digital skills that are essential in today's world.

 

Since it was my first time using WIX, I found it interesting. However, the overall interface was much more complex than I expected, and it was difficult to understand all the features in a short amount of time. WIX offers a wide variety of templates, which made it hard for me to immediately choose one that was suitable for creating an e-portfolio. The template I eventually selected looked organized, but it came with too many functions, which made it feel complicated.

Although the platform is functional, creative, and full of features, it was a bit challenging for someone like me who doesn’t have much experience with layout and design. Despite these difficulties, I was still very interested in building my e-portfolio. Whenever I encountered problems, the teaching assistant provided timely help, which made the process less confusing. Online resources were also very helpful and gave me quick solutions when I needed them.

As for the issue of having too many template options, I later discovered that choosing a blank template was the simplest solution. Because blank templates are less overwhelming, I would recommend them to beginners who are just getting started with WIX.
